  1. O.K., Everybody grow a small garden in your front yards so it is common and then there is all that great, organic food fresh to eat. Where is the harm? Who are these stuffed fools saying no to this? Get rid of them, quick!

  2. How absurd! It's time for all of us to grow such gardens, as the dollar becomes increasingly worthless, as our economy continues to crumble. Soon those fools who are now so concerned with "appearances" will wonder why they themselves hadn't grown something edible.

  3. She wasn't fined for growing a garden. She was fined for having a garden in her front yard. A code violation.

If she had planted her garden in the backyard, like several other people in her neighborhood do, she wouldn't have a problem.

Did no one here actually read this story or even go so far as to watch the entire video? Or did you just react, without thinking?

    1. Screw the code! It's nitpicking obedience to stupid legalisms that got us in the mess we are in. It's freakin UnAmerican thinking!

  4. "Suitable".....
    Relative term.
    Opinion.
    Open to interpretation.

The city will win because they are closer to god than she is. So is the judge. THEY get to decide for you slaves what is considered "Suitable" vegitation and what is not.

  5. Fuck you, Flakfizer-city codes DO NOT trump property rights. And even if you happen to think they do (being the little whore for authority that you obviously are), there's what's lawful and then there's what's right. The sad part is you're too fucking dumb to tell the difference.

  6. The White House has had multiple vegetable gardens since its completion in 1800. Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama all have had their own versions of vegetable gardens. Roosevelt planted the White House victory garden during World War II to promote the use of victory gardens by American citizens in a time of possible food scarcity. Hillary Clinton had a vegetable garden constructed on the roof of the White House. On March 20, 2009 Michelle Obama broke ground on the largest and most expansive vegetable garden to date on the White House lawn.[1]

  7. If this is Julie Bass, from 2011, all charges were dropped against her. For those that think code enforcement has this right, please visit your local F.A.C.E.Off (Fight against code enforcement), available on the internet.
